City Wide Executive Leadership

Jeff Oddo, CEO and Owner

Jeff graduated from Kansas State University in 1988 with a construction science engineering degree and went to work with his father, who founded City Wide Maintenance Company in 1961. Jeff started in sales on the chemical and manufacturing side of the business before moving over to what was, at the time, a traditional janitorial company. After several years in sales and account management, Jeff took over as president in 1996. In 1999, Jeff revamped the business model from a janitorial service company to a management company in the building maintenance industry, offering more than 20 services through certified independent contractors, rather than exclusively with all in-house employees. The redirection of the company started a path that would come to set City Wide apart in the building maintenance world through its focus on the client experience and breadth of service offerings.

After becoming the largest maintenance provider in Kansas City, Jeff chose the path of franchising the business model in 2001, with a goal to help other business owners and community members experience the success had in the Kansas City market. Since then, City Wide has expanded to more than 80 company- and franchise-owned locations across the U.S. and Canada, with a goal of more than 160 total franchise partners in North America. In September 2020, the organization rebranded to City Wide Facility Solutions, where Jeff continues as CEO and owner.

Jeff currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas, and has three lovely daughters with his wife, Karen. Their middle daughter, Alyssa, joined City Wide full-time in June 2021 and their oldest daughter, Savannah, joined in January 2022, officially making City Wide Facility Solutions a third-generation family business. Jeff is the author of The 10 Kidmandments and the co-author of a best-selling book in franchising. Jeff’s passions include running, and guitar, and he is very active in philanthropic opportunities while living the company ripple. In addition to multiple board positions, Jeff’s organizational affiliations and awards include Operation Breakthrough, YPO, Acumen, Vistage International Member (2002 Leadership Award Winner), Ingram’s “40 under 40” Power Book (2005), and Alumnus of Phi Delta Theta.
