“We’re here to save our clients time and solve their problems.” Ken is ex-military. It’s an experience that brings a perspective that serves him well at City Wide, where teamwork and focusing on solving problems quickly and efficiently are all in a day’s work. “I get really excited about building and being a part of teams that are stronger than the sum of their parts,” he says. “When we turn the lights off, I want to know that, together, we accomplished positive things for our clients and ourselves.” Prior to becoming an owner of a City Wide franchise, Ken worked as Director of Operations for the City Wide corporate parent in Lenexa, Kansas. In that capacity he played a central role in recruiting, onboarding, and inspiring a team of professionals that helped City Wide build a national presence while significantly growing both units and revenue. Past experiences include entrepreneurial endeavors founding, running, and selling two successful companies. He has also served as a sales and operations executive in a number of start-ups and established businesses, where his strategic vision helped bring change to industries as diverse as printing, color mixing and management, action sports, and forestry. Ken credits both his dad and his wife, Kris, for inspiring him to be who he is today and how he approaches both life and business. “Dad taught me that honesty, smarts, and giving 100 percent usually results in positive outcomes. And my wife is the strongest person I’ve ever known. She beat terminal cancer and is the embodiment of grace and strength.” Ken is a mountain biker, like Howard, and is proud of establishing a local non-profit in Kansas City that helped develop over 100 miles of trail for the public to enjoy. “I really like helping people. It’s what I’m about.”
