Cary Fourman, President
As president of City Wide of Jacksonville, the cleaning and maintenance industry runs through Cary’s blood. A second generation cleaner, he worked for his father’s janitorial company as a boy and elicited his help when deciding to follow in his father’s footsteps. Cary graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida and also holds a CPA license. Today, he is responsible for the nearly 4 million square feet of commercial space his team cleans every night. He is never more than a phone call away for any client and takes great pride in City Wide’s ability to reduce the stress his clients spend on maintenance issues.
Alex Gaines, General Manager
Alex joined City Wide Maintenance in February 2016 and is in charge of all day to day operations for the Jacksonville office. Alex is an experienced and accomplished military and civilian leader with 23 years of supervising over 1,500 military and civilian employees while managing multi-million dollar Air Force and Army hospitality and recreation organizations which included child development and youth centers, restaurants, dining facilities, hotels, golf courses, fitness centers, bowling facilities, outdoor recreation centers, and swimming pools.
Before coming to City Wide, he was the Director, Family and MWR at Fort Gordon, GA where he supervised a 540 person recreation and hospitality organization with $30M in sales per year. His achievements/awards include: Bronze Star Medal while in the Air Force and a 2004 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee, University of North Carolina at Pembroke. His education includes: B.S. Physical Education, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, M.S. Strategic Leadership, Air Force Institute of Technology and M.S. Sports Administration, Eastern New Mexico University. He also graduated from Air War College and is a Black Belt Facilitator (process improvement).
He’s married to Carrie Ann and has 2 sons.
Russ Christianson, Director of Operations
Russ joined City Wide Maintenance in Kansas City in 2005 as a Facility Services Manager. Less than three years later Russ proved he had what it took to move up in the company and took over the Director of Operations position. Today, Russ oversees Facility Service Managers in the Jacksonville area. His impressive leadership has not gone unnoticed and during his time as Director of Operations in Kansas City, Russ received the coveted Frank L. Oddo Leadership and the Most Valuable Player awards.
James Critch, Director of Operations
James joined the City Wide family in October of 2015 following 13 years at Cintas the Uniform Professionals where he was a Service Supervisor.
James quickly grasped the City Wide business model and brought home the Rookie of the Year award. Shortly thereafter, James was promoted to Director of Operations and currently manages the largest in-house accounts within the Jacksonville branch.
James is married to Nicole and they have two sons. Both boys play baseball and flag football. James coaches both of them in the Fleming Island area where he is also the Baseball Director within Fleming Island Athletic Association. Sports are a very important part of their family. It teaches life lessons at every age group.
Evan Winans, Regional Vice President of Sales
Evan joined City Wide of Jacksonville in March of 2012 as the Manager of the Sales team. During that time span Evan has had his hands in over $570,000 of new contracts sold in the Northeast Florida area. A family man, he is a constant student of leadership, relationships and sales. A true Floridian, Evan grew his competitive nature in multiple sports growing up. He still loves playing basketball, riding motorcycles and surfing when the weather cooperates. His sales team has consistently ranked in the top two percent of new business generated annually on a national scale.
Evan has been fortunate to earn numerous awards locally and nationally for his team’s work. He is extremely proud of bringing a consultative approach to the sales process. He has a superstar team of highly motivated professionals. It is important to he and his team that City Wide offer solutions to their client’s maintenance issues, giving them the time and energy to focus on other aspects of their business. He also credits his evolving success to his wife (Tiffany) and daughter (Emalyn), and to great mentors such as Cary Fourman and Tom Stone. He believes that success is a team sport that takes many ordinary individuals, giving extraordinary effort towards the same goals.
Rebecca Turner, Controller
Rebecca joined City Wide of Jacksonville in 2009 as the Office Manager. She is a Jacksonville Native, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of North Florida. During her career at City Wide she has enjoyed the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business, and was promoted to Controller in 2015. Rebecca was awarded 2012’s MVP, “Super Star” for her dedication and exceptional performance. Rebecca and her team take pride in providing exceptional customer service to janitorial services clients, and enjoy providing support to the Sales and Operations Teams.
